Can we read without an internet connection?
Partly. The stories are downloaded from the internet: the list of stories from time to time, and each story the first time it is opened. A story that was opened once is saved on the device, together with its narration, and can then be read offline. So the first launch, and opening a story for the first time, need a connection.
Which languages are available?
The app currently offers English and Simplified Chinese. Change the story language in For grown-ups › Settings › Story language, or in Reading settings inside a book. Stories are read aloud with recorded AI narration, which downloads together with the story. Pages that have no narration yet, or a book whose narration has not finished downloading while you are offline, are read with the device's built-in voice; you can add or change built-in voices in the Settings app under Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices.
How do I reset a reader's progress?
Open For grown-ups (a grown-up check comes first), go to Readers, choose the reader and tap Reset progress. You can also delete a reader there.
Where is our data stored?
Reader data is stored only on your device. Cloudlings has no accounts and sends no reader data anywhere. Your device backups include it like any other app data. Deleting the app removes it. To count installs and offer updates, the app's update check sends a random device number and basic device details (never reader data). See the privacy policy for details.

没有网络能看吗？
部分可以。故事都是从网上下载的：故事列表会不时更新，每本故事在第一次打开时下载。打开过一次的故事会连同配音保存在设备上，之后没有网络也能看。所以第一次启动应用、第一次打开某本故事时需要联网。
支持哪些语言？
App 目前提供英文和简体中文。可以在“家长专区 › 设置 › 故事语言”里切换，也可以在书里的“阅读设置”里切换。故事用事先录好的 AI 配音朗读，配音会和故事一起下载。还没有配音的页，或者离线时配音还没下载完的书，会用设备自带的语音朗读；自带语音可以在“设置”应用的“辅助功能 › 朗读内容 › 声音”里添加或更换。
怎么重置小读者的进度？
打开“家长专区”（需要先通过家长验证），进入“小读者”，选择这位小读者，点“重置进度”。在这里也可以删除小读者。
数据存在哪里？
小读者的数据只存在你的设备上。云朵儿童没有账号，不会把小读者数据发送到任何地方。设备备份会和其他应用数据一样包含它；删除应用即可清除。为了统计安装量和提示更新，应用的检查更新会发送一个随机设备编号和基本的设备信息（不含任何小读者数据）。详情见隐私政策。
